First trip down the Ribble in late October, then up the Douglas to the Rufford Branch and on to Finnington Bridge

 Rushing all the way to beat the winter canal closures with John Smith and Dave Griffin

With the O’Brien family on the last two miles to Finnington Bridge, nr Blackburn

Spent the winter 1998 - 1999 at Wanless Farm at the Western end of the Foulridge Tunnel

In January we had a trip through the tunnel with Norman and Dennis and on towards East Marton

But thick Ice defeated us and we turned back and fitted the kitchen
